Resorts World Manila Brings Fairy-tale Cinderella To Life!

Resorts World Manila, a prime advocate in promoting Philippine talent, has billed singer / songwriter Karylle and the popular balladeer Christian Bautista to star in the roles of Cinderella and Prince Charming respectively.

Karylle landed the celebrated role as proof of her artistic versatility. Her long list of praise-worthy stage performances include key roles in Trumpet’s A Little Mermaid as Princess Sapphire, Atlantis Production’s Seussical as the Cat in the Hat, and Stages’ West Side Story as Maria, a performance which won her an ALIW Awards Best Actress nomination back in 2008. The musical will reunite Karylle with Christian Bautista, who played opposite her in Ballet Philippines’ Rama Hari last 2012 where she played the lead role of Sita. Other acts under Bautista’s belt include West Side Story, Joseph the Dreamer and The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe.

Meanwhile, ALIW Awards Best Musical for 2012, “The King And I”, the third musical production by Resorts World Manila, is nearing to its final performances at the Newport Performing Arts Theater. Top-billed by stage icons Nonie Buencamino and Menchu Lauchengco-Yulo, the Rodgers and Hammerstein classic runs until May this year.
