Genting Hong Kong brings celebrated Singapore director Jack Neo and the “Ah Boys to Men” cast to meet audiences in the Philippines and Taiwan


International, 22 April, 2013 – Genting Hong Kong, a leading global leisure, entertainment and hospitality corporation, has brought Director Jack Neo and the stars of the highest-grossing Singaporean motion picture “Ah Boys to Men” to meet the audiences in the Philippines and Taiwan to celebrate its 20th anniversary and Star Cruises’ first cruise out of Singapore on 23 December 1993.



In the Philippines, Genting Hong Kong and Resorts World Manila, the Philippines’ first one-stop, nonstop vacation spot for top-notch entertainment and leisure alternatives, staged an exclusive premiere yesterday (21 April) at its state-of-the-art Newport Cinema. Director Jack Neo and the “Ah Boys to Men” cast wooed the audience with their appearance at the premiere in Manila. It was the first time Jack Neo’s movie was screened in the Philippines. The Singaporean community and local media in Manila were invited to join the special occasion.



In Taiwan, Genting Hong Kong sponsored the gala premiere of the movie and has also brought director Jack Neo and the cast to meet local moviegoers and the media. The gala premiere at in89 Digital Cinema unveiled the movie to Taiwan audience before its nation-wide theatrical release. 

Produced and directed by Jack Neo, Singapore’s acclaimed movie and TV personality, “Ah Boys to Men topped the box office in Singapore since debut. Jack Neo is well known for his hilarious but soul-searching films such as “Money No Enough” and “I Not Stupid”.
